The work that I produce are images of exaggerated figures that emulate anxiousness, suffering, and discomfort with my own struggle with Crohn’s disease to confront the viewer with a possible familiarity through extremity. The bodies are made this way to describe a physical feeling that the human body cannot show evidence of. Overtime, I practiced different ways of thinking of how to represent the body with varying levels of abstraction. I like to think that the final pieces are an accumulation of my attempts and studies.
